Bouncy trampolines can be enormously entertaining as well as being useful to keep your teenagers attentive & busy for loads of hours. Various trampolines are not just entertaining for youngsters, as they can also be bought by older women as an aerobic work-out in addition as a way for tightening and building numerous muscles in unison. Thus, for that reason a trampoline has a great deal to provide during the summer for the whole family and it’s of no surprise that trampolines are such a much loved outdoor toy throughout the summer period.

The essential thing bear in mind when acquiring a trampoline for the kids is to make certain it is appropriate for both the age and ability of the people who will likely to be testing it, be it the kids’ or the adults. Click here to find the best deals on buying outdoor toys with Toy-Shopper.co.uk.

An additional thing to make not of is of course going to be the position of the kids’ trampoline. A number of trampolines currently can call for up a considerable degree of floor space in particular as you will want about 3ft of grass roughly around the outside of the trampoline in order for the children to get off in one piece if they fortuitously fall off.

It’s also essential to bear in mind that a number of trampolines trampolines will require to be positioned on level land if not the resilience & protection of the outdoor trampoline can be greatly affected. With this in mind, various trenches may need to be made in order for the garden trampoline to stand-up consistently.

Bathroom remodeling can be quite expensive at times. But there are other ways in which you can improve the over all look of your bathroom. Purchasing and installing new bathroom cabinet is one way that is cheap and has a serious impact on the look of your bathroom. You can find different types of cabinets available in the market; you can find cabinets of different prices and of different materials. You can get different colors which help you to match them with your existing bathroom layout. Most people prefer glass bathroom cabinets, these cabinets are fixed right above your wash basin. They serve multiple purposes but are not very attractive. They are best suited for small bathrooms or if you want to save space. You can purchase a corner cabinet to save space or a hanging cabinet; they are not stylish but do the job.

The next step in purchasing a bathroom cabinet is cost, how mush you have and how much you want to spend. This is a decision that has to be made before selecting a cabinet. Sometime it can go way out of budget so it’s best to set a range in which you want to buy.

Then again, go on reading for there are quite a few details that you should appreciate in regards to online games of chance, all the more if you are a novice regarding this subject. So, stifle your eagerness to traverse what comes next. Here is my condensed plan which unravels what to focus on when looking out for an honest online games of chance website.

The foremost thing that I as a smart Web risker will make certain to target is an online games of chance site of the kind guaranteeing top odds. Establish for certain that the online games of chance site is supervised by an honest auditing firm so as to appraise the specific casino games’ pay-outs regularly. This can be extremely productive to ascertain the specie you are about to wager during your coming caper will actually excuse it all.

Further to this, here are a number of fresh leads in regards to trying to trace your virtual texas holdem etc site.

You positively must be sure to make certain the virtual texas holdem etc site is verifiably licensed, e. g. by examining the governmental approbation on the casino site. If it’s not possible to track down any governmental approbation on a chosen virtual texas holdem etc site, do not think of laying on that site.

Next thing you’ll want to meticulously weigh the mixed bonuses and promos that the virtual texas holdem etc site offers its visitors.

For some more advice, would be to place your wager at the start in modest amounts rather than laying out big dollars off the cuff. It can only be always to remember that casinos should chiefly be about enjoyment rather than money. Casino wagering isn’t a trade, but a pastime that should help you become delighted and your life satisfying.

After you have observed all these leads, you can give yourself up to the charm of virtual texas holdem etc… :)

Some of the most enjoyable diving you may ever do is wreck scuba diving. Because travel by ship was the main way of going from continent to continent prior to development of air travel, and because the technology used on ships and in weather forecasting was not advanced at all, many ships sank in waters around the world providing dives that are interesting and fun. There are so many wrecks that only the Florida wreck diving will be covered in this article.

In fact, there are so many Florida wreck scuba diving spots available, you’ll have plenty of difficulty choosing which ones to dive. Hurricanes, coral reefs, shoals and pirates all help sink the ships that are often quite near the shores.

During the Spanish colonial period, the Florida Straits were the most frequently used passage for ships to access the Gulf Stream to get the boost of these fast-flowing currents for their trip home across the Atlantic Ocean. Some of these ships were never to return safely home but were trapped into one of the many tragedies that happened to the then ill-equipped vessel when challenging Mother Nature. Many of these unfortunate victims of the sea have been excavated and are awaiting your arrival.

One great wreck scuba diving destination is Pensacola in the Panhandle of Florida. There are lots of ships within a small area. In Pensacola Bay, eleven ships were to become victims of a hurricane during 1500. The colonists that were becoming settles on the shore at what is now known as Pensacola Bay were unloading vessels when the massive storm overtook them. Of course, there were no storm warnings like we have today and they were taken unaware. The result of the loss of the eleven ships was to soon become the demise of the colony which only lasted 60 years.

The Trinite is another great wreck scuba diving spot. This French wreck lies off St. Augustine and went down during a storm in 1565 while the Frenchmen were preparing to attack the Spaniards who had colonized this section of the northeast Florida coastline. After the vessel sank, the attack did not occur. Today you can not only scuba dive the wreck at St. Augustine but you can also see other sights like the nation’s oldest school house and oldest drug store, tour the fort as well as get in some fun in the sun.

You can do some wreck scuba diving at the resting place of the Tierra Firme fleet. Two ships from the fleet of 27 vessels, the Atocha and the Santa Margarita, went to their watery graves along with 380 sailors during a hurricane in 1622. The fleet had more than $250 million in cargo among them and the Atocha proved to be quite a profitable salvage job once it was located and now you can see it for yourself along with her sister ship in the Florida Keys.

In 1700 the Henneta Marie, a slave trade vessel that had unloaded slaves in Jamaica and was in the Key West to load sugar from the plantations sank. Today you can visit Key West during your wreck scuba diving vacation and see the oldest know wreck of a slave trading vessel that has been identified by name.

While you are in the Florida Keys for wreck scuba diving, go see the San Pedro which was one of the last vessels from the New Spain fleet to cross to what is now the United States. In 1733, this ship was taken victim by a hurricane along with several other ships traveling with her. There are wrecks covering over 80 miles of the Florida Keys oceanscape from this storm. The Spanish salvaged this ship only to find that she had been burned to the waterline so that pirates could not loot her.

In 1713 a vessel named Urca de Lima owned by the Spanish ran aground on a shoal off Florida’s Atlantic coast during a hurricane. There were nine other ships lost during this hurricane but because the Urca de Lima was grounded and did not sink like the others, she was used as a supply ship to provide for the survivors of the other shipwrecks as well as the one remaining French vessel that had been accompanying the Urca de Lima. Over 1,000 men lost their lives in this tragic hurricane.

You can find still dive and find shipwrecks under the waters of the Atlantic Ocean on Florida’s eastern coast as well as some in the calmer waters of the Gulf of Mexico which run along the western shore of Florida and the southern edge of the Florida Panhandle.

Florida is a great place to go wreck scuba diving and you will find the waters warm enough to dive even in the winter. In fact, the winter is the peak season in this southern state. You can obtain discount rates if you choose to travel to Florida during the off-season which is May through November. You’ll also enjoy less crowded areas and beaches with fewer visitors.

As you plan your wreck scuba diving in Florida, be sure to have all your dive equipment checked by a professional so that you won’t experience any problems while visiting a wreck. If you do not want to take your own dive gear, there are many dive shops located along the coastlines of Florida ready to provide for your every need.

If you want to ensure that finding the wrecks, scuba diving with a charter boat that specialized in wreck diving is practical. These captains know exactly where to visit quickly and easily locate the wrecks you want to visit. These locals can also point out other places of interest to see and things to do in the area during your holiday.

While wreck scuba diving, remember that safety must always come first when in the water. Don’t take unnecessary chances. Be sure to stay with your dive party and your trip will be a great success.

When you go to Oaxaca, immerse yourself in Hierve el Agua.

Arriving at the Hierve el Agua park, it isn’t obvious what a special treat you are in for, though the environment is pleasant enough. There is a semi-shaded parking area, bathrooms, bath houses for changing into swim suits, stands to purchase foods, and even cabins to stay the night. Behind the stands are a pleasant swimming pool and a map of the trails through the park.

Hierve el Agua means “where the water boils,” and refers less to the temperature of the water there and more to the action of the water. When I first began walking down the well-trodden path on the loop trail, I knew we were in for a special treat. We were walking on gargantuan calcium deposits, still clearly displaying the ripple pattern in which they were deposited as mineral rich water ran over the surface of the ground. It was like walking on frozen water.

As I rounded the bend in the trail I saw ahead of me a pool of creamy, light blue water. Wow! I thought. But as I got closer, there was a break in the foliage and I could see that the edge of the pool tops an almost 200-foot cliff overlooking a roadless river valley. …and I was mentally speechless.

The pool is formed by spring water backed up behind a wall built along the top of the cliff. The whole pool, which is the size of a small swimming pool, looks and feels very natural because the wall was constructed in the rounded shapes of the surrounding area. Time has helped to maintain the natural look by covering the man-made borders with thick, rounded calcium deposits. The water skims over the wall and down into a series of smaller pools before plummeting down the cliff face to the valley below.

The pool is a delightful warm temperature, and clean because it is continually refreshed by a spring just outside the pool area. You can place your hand over the bubbling water of the spring and feel it gurgling out of the ground, through your fingers and down to the pool. The center of the pool is deep enough to let you tread water or float lightly, looking up at the perfect sky and branches of the nearby trees. The most unforgettable place in the pool is right at the wall above the cliff. You can rest your arms there and look out into the vast space of the perfect valley below you.

Tooling around near the pool we found ancient water canals. Continuing around the loop trail, there are two or three more breathtaking views. One is a columnar formation of calcium deposits created by the falling of a second spring over the cliff edge–a frozen waterfall. Another was a tributary valley intersecting the main valley.

We had arrived at the park only about 2 hours before closing. While we had to keep track of time and couldn’t explore all of the trails in the park, we were the only people there and had the rare joy of being in such a magical place alone!

Because of the joy of the quiet and the ability to move through the beautiful setting, touching and seeing all of the wonders as they were revealed to us, I recommend that you try to visit Hierve el Agua on a weekday, and possibly very early in the morning to try to avoid other people.

You can get to Hierve el Agua by taking a second class bus from Oaxaca, joining a tour in town, or by driving. The park is about an hour and a half from Oaxaca and is located in the mountains off of the road that takes you to Mitla (another excellent place to visit.)

We had to stop and ask directions a few times on the way to the park and since it is up in the mountains, it wasn’t the easiest place to find. Before you drive there, stop by the tourist information office in Oaxaca city and get a map to the park. The tourist information office will tell you about other wonderful places to visit and will give you the names of the small towns that you will pass in order to find the park. Knowing the names of the towns will help you to be sure you are on the correct road.–jt

The Red Sea

Egypt’s Red Sea coast runs from the Gulf of Suez to the Sudanese border. Its mineral-rich red mountain ranges inspired the mariners to name it the Red Sea.

Today, the Red Sea’s antiquated ports are now better known as some of the best diving and fishing resort locations in the world. Its waters are teeming with hundreds of exotic species of fish, including the beautiful yet stone and butterfly fish, jellyfish, crab and some species of shark. The Red Sea has become one of Egypt’s most popular tourist destinations amongst the sun seekers who long to bask on its golden beaches and divers who dream of exploring its intricate reefs.

Dahab is one of the most unique beach resorts in the Red Sea. In Dahab there are no buildings higher than two stories and no huge package holiday hotels. Dahab has managed to retain its laidback Bedouin feel and has become a focal point for tourism in the area for people who like the idea of a small resort away from mass tourism.

Diving in Dahab

Dahab is the Arabic word for gold, and it is almost certain that this gorgeous location derived its name from the desert cliffs and sand dunes behind and above Dahab which appear golden in the morning and evening sun. The amalgamation of gorgeous beaches, crystal clear water and swooning palm trees make this location any tourist’s idea of paradise.
Dahab is one of the most spectacular beaches in Sinai. Divers from all over the world flock to Dahab in search of some of the most breathtaking dive opportunities in the world. As Dahab is in the Red Sea the abundance of marine life at these dive sites is spectacular - tropical fish of every shade and hue flitter between some of the most gorgeous coral reefs in the world.
Dahab is one of the most versatile diving locations as each dive site has a distinctive typography and unique host of marine life. Diving conditions in Dahab are ideal for learning to dive or extending your skills with PADI courses.

Top Diving Sites

There are few dive sites in the world more spectacular than Sinai’s Blue Hole. A few miles north of Dahab, lies a dark hole which rests in the shallows of a sapphire reef shelf - The Blue Hole. The abundance of marine life here is astounding; on a Blue Hole dive you will encounter corals, fans, eels and dozens of fish species which thrive here. Though beautiful this dive site is extremely dangerous, a word of warning - don’t let the Blue Hole’s dark beauty lure you too far down, more than a few people have gone in and never come back.
Eel Garden is named after the colony of eels that you will see when diving here. Apart from the masses of eels you will also see schools of Barracuda and many varieties of hard and soft coral. The Islands is a recognised world class dive site. The three underwater coral islands you will swim through on this dive are teeming with colourful and exotic marine life.
The beautiful corral formations of Abu Helal and the seahorses and rare ghost pipefish of Desert Divers Bay dive spots will blow your mind.
Other fantastic dive spots in the area include: The Lighthouse, The Canyon, Tia Maria, Rick’s Reef, Southern Oasis, Golden Blocks, Glassfish Pinnacle, Three Pools, Om Sid and the Caves. You really are spoilt for choice on a Red Sea diving holiday.

Dahab’s Top Attractions

Though Dahab undoubtedly earned its reputation as a world class holiday destination because it is an awesome dive location, the town has a lot to offer tourists whilst they are on land too. Centres for water-skiing, fishing, camel and horse riding are extremely popular amongst visitors. You can also visit a Coloured and White Canyon, a real desert oasis, buy trinkets in the local markets, enjoy traditional cuisine in the many restaurants, visit a papyrus museum and swim with dolphins in the open sea. With such a host of activities to keep you occupied both on and off land Dahab is the perfect holiday destination - and while you’re there, why not climb Mt. Sinai for exquisite of the surrounding areas.

Oasis Overland Adventure Travel is offering diving packages to the Red Sea; which is regarded as one of the best dive locations in the world - whether you are a complete novice or an experienced diver its only hours away - via Cairo - with a stop off at the world famous Pyramids at Giza!

When trying to decide which tent to purchase, the camper needs to first know where
he will camp out, the time he will camp out, and the weather circumstances, and a
few other things.

During my experimentation with many different kinds of tents, I’ve found that the
best beginners’ tent is a very inexpensive one that is usually available, in season, at
Target stores.

The tent is called the Expedition Trail Authority tent. If you purchase this tent ‘off-
season” you can pick it up for under nineteen dollars.

The tent area on the floor is seven feet by seven feet, so that’s plenty space for one
or two people.

This tent is easily set up. You don’t need two people to set it up because the tent
center height is at a reasonable height. All you do is assemble the shock-corded
poles and install them. Stake your tent down. Add the tent fly, and you are ready to
go.

When using this tent, I use an inexpensive waterproof tarp under the tent, and
another inexpensive waterproof tarp over the tent. Now , I’m set for all kinds of
weather camping.

I’ve found that if you want to have a pleasant, non-working camping experience,
you’ll need to leave the large tents and the family tents back at the house or in the
garage. Those larger tents, though they afford more room and more center height,
are not fun to put together. And, on a windy day, they are almost impossible for
one person to put them together. So, the smaller you go, the better you’ll feel and
the best and most carefree camping experience you’ll have.

Two of the most important tenting helpful hints that I can share are these:

1. Never leave a tent unattended that has not been staked down. I’ve had the
experience of leaving a large tent [seven feet high at the center] literally fly away
after I moved about six inches from the tent to grab the stakes. The tent was
completely put together-with the fly attached, and in one split second, on a day that
had ‘no’ wind, a slight breeze came by and grabbed the tent up into the air.

I was surprised to see such a large tent fly away. If I hadn’t seen it myself, I wouldn’t
have believed it possible. After all, how many of us have tried to get little kites up
into the air with not much success? And here is this seven foot tent flying by.

I chased the tent [it flew OVER a fence] and brought it back to my campsite, and
started all over. This time I kept a hold of the tent until I had put one stake in the
ground and anchored it to the tent.

Now I know how some people get little holes in their tents [They’ve probably
retrieved the tents over sharp fences while the tent was flying away].

So, number one, hold onto that tent until it’s properly secured to the ground.

2. Never bring food inside your tent. Food attracks animals. You and your tent will
be safe if you don’t bring your food or snacks inside your tent.

Some of the best places to buy good tents are close to you. Try these:

Sports Authority
Target
Walmart
or online at ebay.com

I’d steer clear of the children’s pop-up tents. These seem harder to fold up than the
larger regular tents. Sure, the tent pops open very quickly. But after that you can
spend as much as thirty minutes trying to figure out how to pop it down and fold it
up to put it back into its’ carry bag. A regular child’s or adult’s tent can be just as
cheap if you search around for the best buy or if you wait until ‘off-season” to
purchase your tents.

For serious campers, and those who will be camping out for the rest of their lives, I
recommend EUREKA tents. These are wonderfully, beautifully-created tents that will
make you smile. They are almost easily set up. And most of them will have that nice
material floor instead of that hard crinkley floor that most other tents have.

Eureka tents are all material and no plastic. That makes a difference in your
camping experience.

Eureka tents can be expensive. But if you purchase off-season, you can get as much
as fifty percent off the original price of a Eureka tent. And, the tents are brand new
, not used.

Some items that will make camping easier:

Cord - lots of cord. Make sure you bring enough cord to hold your tent down, plus
a little extra.

Tent stakes - That will prevent your tent from rolling or flying away in windy
weather.

Flashlights - You’ll always need one of these even if you like camping in the dark.
In the middle of the night if you are looking for something in your tent, you’ll not
find it without a flashlight. And, if you hear a noise in the middle of the night, the
best thing to do is immediately put your flashlight on. This lets everyone know that
you are in your tent, and that your equipment and tent is being watched.

Water, bring lots of water to drink. Camping is the easiest way to get started on a
new healthy way of living. With the stores and the soda pops far away , you have
no excuse to not drink water. So , hydrate yourself and keep yourself healthy.

Extra set of car keys: You don’t want to get locked out of your car on the last day of
your camping trip. [Yes, that’s when it will happen]. Keep the extra set of car keys
ON your person , not in the car.

Majic candles: Remember those trick birthday candles that you used to use when
you were a child? Well, these candles are the perfect things to bring along on a
camping trip. When you are lighting your lanterns or lighting your fires, it will be
convenient if you light them with a candle instead of a match. These ‘majic”
candles won’t blow out. So, even if you are camping on the windiest day of the year,
with these candles in your supply box, you’ll surely get that fire lit and maintained.
These candles are available at Target stores and at novelty stores in your
neighborhood.

Back to tents: Please know that you can go camping without spending lots of
money. Just use your imagination, and you’l find a great way to go camping in a
great campgrounds or state park.

Linda Perry, though new to Ezine articles, is not new to writing. She has been writing
for a number of years. And she has about 3 years camping experience, in the state
parks and in private campgrounds. She is a graduate of an Outward Bound
wilderness survival course.

The world of fly fishing is a changing one. It sees new HREF="http://www.bigyflyco.com/" rel="nofollow">fishing flies, new gadgets,
improved rods and reels, and techniques. These techniques are
more and more often being applied to different species of fish.
As fly fishing has almost nothing to do with actually eating
fish anymore, fly anglers are more open to honing their skills
against species of fish they will never eat. One of these
species is carp. Yes carp. Long considered a trash fish, the
evolution of the sportsman has seen re-classification of fish
species. As more and more pressure erodes some of our cherished
fisheries, fly anglers have turned to carp and other species as
a chance to practice our passion while easing the pressures of
traditional fly angling eco-systems.

Carp fly fishing has taken on a cult appeal, and that cult is
growing. Like bass, carp are plentiful, like bass carp can be
found in ponds just a hair larger than a mud hole, while bass
have long been a venerable game fish, carp have not. Carp were
never considered pretty, although passionate carp anglers around
the Great Lakes consider them beautiful, so as with most things
beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t think they
probably taste particularly good. But they do fight, and they do
grow huge. And they love the warm water, but are also found in
cold water.

Carp are survivors, they tend to stalk the shorelines and flats
of lakes, where they have little competition, for sight-fishing
there is none better. Similar to fishing for bonefish in
technique, the most likely success will come from sight fishing.
However, here lies the rub, carp are very skittish and alert,
and will run or cease feeding at the slightest disturbance. I
prefer to cast to carp to the left or right of me, I do not like
to position myself directly in front. An accurate soft cast one
to two feet in front of your intended target is your best bet.
Two to three casts is probably all you get, for they will notice
you and move on. Allowing your fly to fall to the bottom, works
well, and then giving your fly a soft tug. Carp key in on puffs
of silt, as that indicates food. The angler must keep their
leader tight here, as the carp’s ’strike’ can be maddeningly
light.

As for gear, think big. Carp are not to be pursued with your 3
wt. Think salmon gear if you have it, 9 or 10 weight rods, but
depending on the average size of the carp in your area, you
might get away with 7 or 8 weight. With lots of backing on the
reel. Tippet should be at least 3x, and more comfortably 2x or
even 1x.

As for flies, well the nice thing about carp is they are not
overly selective, but your best bets are always with actual food
imitations that the fish eat. For carp, crayfish, damsel and
dragonfly nymphs, worms are all good bets. Scuds and hare’s ears
are likely prospects as well. And by all means do not forget
that lake standby the leech, a sunken leech tugged neatly off
the bottom, is a morsel only the wariest of carp will ignore.

After the strike the real fun is beginning, carp fight like
nothing else. They are fast, smart, and tireless. An angler
netting a carp knows it has met a match that is not likely to be
experienced again soon. They will strip you down to your backing
faster than any other fish out there. And not back down easily.

I went for a glorious walk in the woods near my house today. Interestingly, I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, but it was just a few months ago that I discovered this fabulous treasure right outside my door.

I’ve always enjoyed the paved walking trails that crisscross through my neighborhood’s greenbelt. Often I saw mountain bikers emerging from the woods, and I wondered about the trails back there. But since I didn’t know where the trails led, I never went into those woods. After all, I might get lost. A mountain biker might run me over. It might not be safe. So I stuck to the paved trails and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

But a few months ago my friend Deborah, who I walk with most every week, suggested we go on one of the off-road trails. She and her husband had spent many hours exploring those trails, so she felt confident she could get us out alive. So we plunged into the woods and I discovered what I had been missing all those years. To my surprise, I found 16 miles of cleared trails winding through dense woods, past occasional creeks and small waterfalls.

I loved it! I enjoyed walking on the varied terrain, watching out for rocks and tree roots, climbing up and down small inclines. It felt like an adventure, like I had traveled to a distant state park rather than my own backyard.

I told Deborah I would probably only go in the woods when we were walking together, as I still felt unsure about where the different trails led. But it wasn’t long before the woods called me, and I took a trail walk on my own.

Now I go on walks through the woods frequently. Once I got a taste of how nice it was, I was willing to risk getting lost (which I never have) for the joy of being in the peace and quiet of nature. To think, those lovely wooded trails were waiting for me all those years, just a stone’s throw from my house. Although I knew the trails were there, I didn’t think they applied to me or appealed to me. But I was wrong.

It’s good to be content with what you have, but each of us is destined for more. For twenty years I thoroughly enjoyed walking on the paved trails in my neighborhood, but it’s been a huge bonus to discover the miles of undiscovered off-road trails as well.

What unrecognized blessings are “hiding” in plain sight in your life? What talents are lying dormant in you? Take a look around and see where you might be selling yourself short in life. Step up to the plate, take a risk, and you just might find a new level of peace and happiness beyond your wildest dreams.

From the massive, dry desert of the Kalahari to the splendid Okavango delta, a maze of waterways coursing through the desert sands – Botswana safaris offer you a breathtaking contrast that will be a feast for your senses, bored and tired of the sameness and uniformity around them.

Here is a brief sketch of some top destinations:

The 10,600-acre Khama Rhino Sanctuary was set up in 1993 to rescue the vanishing white rhino. Beginning with only four, the rhino population has now swelled to nearly 20. Plans are afoot for the introduction of the nearly extinct black rhino to the sanctuary as well. It is run by a community trust involving locals from the area. The entrance fee with a vehicle is only $5, and contributions from visitors keep it going. For accommodation, there is the Mokongwa Camp or the Boma camp offering various facilities at suitable prices.

Chobe National Park has an area of 4,079 square miles just over the borders with Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is also a picture of contrasts - from a lush river region in the north to the dry bush land in the south. About 45,000 elephants have made it their home. If you can ensure that you are not trampled by any one of them, then try fishing too. You will find more than 90 species, including the mighty tiger fish. And remember, the big cats rule here as well. Accommodation is no problem: Chobe Safari Lodge is moderately priced and comfortable.

What was a lake millions of years ago is now the Nxai National Park, covering 2,787 square miles of arid basin that goes from a strangely desolate yet inviting dust bowl in winter to a shallow, wet wonderland when it rains in summer. When the weather is wet, flamingos, wildebeests, and zebras (and inevitably their predators too) can be spotted migrating here in the thousands. For accommodation, Planet Baobab is there for your comfort.

The Mashatu Game reserve, occupying over 100,000 acres, is the largest privately owned wildlife area in Botswana, and part of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve. Apart from lions, leopards, zebras, kudu, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas, it also offers you riverbeds full of baboons, ancient archaeological sites and splendid sandstone dikes!

For accommodation, although known as an expensive spot, Mashatu Main Camp is quite reasonable compared to most Botswana lodges.

The 1,881-square-mile Moremi Wildlife Reserve is located on the magnificent Okavango delta. More than 300 bird species teem in the delta’s massive maze of inlets and islands, in addition to the hippos, crocodiles, elephants passing through, and lily pads that appear to stretch on forever. Avoid the summer-wet season if you can, as there would be too much water for the traditional “mokoro” (a type of canoe) ride at that time of the year. Make yourself comfortable at the Audi camp, which offers extremely moderate rates and plenty of attractions.

Botswana safaris are available in various types. The three main ones are mobile safaris, luxury honeymoon safaris and fly-in safaris. In mobile safaris 4×4 vehicles are usually pressed into service to cover larger areas or a variety of different habitats in a single trip. Luxury honeymoon safaris are for the romantic couples who want to spend time sipping champagne on a private terrace while gazing out over the vast plains of Botswana. Fly-in safaris utilize top luxury safari camps in high-density game areas like the Okavango delta.
