If you have an online business, or you are simply looking for the best way to make money online, you need to consider starting an affiliate marketing program. Many people over look this program when they are setting up a marketing strategy, but they should definitely reconsider. Affiliate marketing has been proven as one of the most effective ways to make money online.

If you are not familiar with how affiliate marketing can help you make money online you are in luck. It is one of the easiest strategies to understand, and it is just as simple to get into place.

Affiliate marketing program is based on affiliates being rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, or customer that they send to your site. This is a great way to make money online because all you have to do is worry about your site; your affiliates will worry about sending traffic to it. If you have a top notch, high quality product or service, the traffic that your affiliates send you will eventually start turning into sales, and more money for you.

The greatest advantage of an affiliate marketing program is that you can set it up so that your affiliates only get paid when you see results. This means that you are never out any money, unless you are making money; which in turn means that you are marketing your site to a wide audience without ever having to pay for anything!

There is no better way to make money online than by setting up a top notch affiliate program. You may be able to find a couple of other strategies that pull in a few dollars here and there; but if you really want to take advantage of the internet marketplace and make money online, you should look no further than an affiliate marketing program.

Do you know what intrapersonal communications is? Many have not even heard of the word, yet it can be one of your most valuable tools to achieving your goals. Many ask, “Isn’t that like interpersonal?” No.

Intra means self, getting personal with your self. And I mean intellectually.
Intrapersonal communications is your thoughts & conversations with yourself. And the ones that can benefit you the most are the ones that use all of your senses. You see when you tell your self what you desire and see the image in your mind, you are bring clarity to your desire. When you add in your other senses, of what it feel, smell, taste like etc, you are then reinforcing the importance to yourself.

I think that in today’s society we are taught not to talk to ourselves. There is almost a stigmatism that you are some how not ok if you do. Yet, the irony is that, the successful people in the world, the ones that succeed and achieve their dreams and desires, the ones that are the movers and the shakers, talk to themselves. And they do it daily.

And what are they saying? Several things actually.

    They are:
Encouraging themselves when things get challenging.
They know that it can be easy to slide into fear, worry or negativity and that it is important to stay positive. They understand it’s important to look for solutions and be open to ideas to realize that all things are possible. You can’t do this if you are bemoaning what is happening to you.
They also understand that it is through failures that we learn the best and the fastest. They see the challenges as stepping-stones to the next level and they remind themselves of that factor.

As well, they are asking themselves,

  • What are my goals for the year?
  • What do I want to accomplish?
  • What does it look and feel like?
  • What are the details?
  • When will this be done by?
  • How will I achieve this?
  • Who’s help do I need?

I have heard from many of them that they will go one-step further and even meditate on the questions they have until they answers or solutions come to them. And sometimes, when they see a solution, they think forward and ask, “And then what? What else do I need to know and do to succeed?”

This is one of the reasons that their success is almost assured. They know what they want and they know how they are going to get it. Their communication skills with themselves, are practiced and followed through on.

I have also noticed that people who don’t speak with themselves, will just quickly make a new years resolution and then forget about it. There is no clarity or details on what it is or how it will happen. There is no emotion or desire driving them towards it. Then another year goes by and they sit and wonder why hasn’t anything changed.

My desire for you is to choose to make 2006, the year that you make a difference. The year that you discover the value and benefits of Intrapersonal Communication. Choose now to find out who you really are. Start talking with yourself today and really get to know yourself on a more personal level.

Appearance:

This serious pest seems to have an outbreak approximately every 10 -15 years. They feed mainly on aspen and poplar, but will take advantage of any foliage they can get. Forest tent caterpillars are approximately 40-50 mm in length when fully grown. They are a dark brown colour with blue bands along their right and left sides. A row of white markings is present all along the centre of their backs.

Life cycle:

The adult moths can be found mating from July through August. Once mating is completed, the females will lay their eggs in structures known as egg bands. This is where the forest tent caterpillar gets its name as the egg bands containing 100-200 eggs resemble small tents within the branches of the tree. The larvae emerge from their protective egg bands in the spring. This emergence usually coincides with the appearance of leaves on the host trees. The larvae will feed on the newly sprouted foliage till mid to late June. Depending on the number of caterpillars present, damage can range from a light thinning to the complete elimination of the foliage present. If the cycle continues heavily for 3-4 years the host tree may die. In most years the tree will usually re-foliate, either later the same year or the next.

Controlling the problem:

Weather, loss of the food source, disease, predators and parasites all play a major role in controlling forest tent caterpillar populations. If possible you may be able to remove the egg bands from the affected trees in late fall or early spring. If you are using an insecticide to control this pest, ensure you follow all the directions on the label before and while applying. Ensure you apply early in the spring when damage is minimal and the larvae are small.

How Video Conferencing Can Support Education

Video conferencing technology is all the rage among
corporations. Recently educational facilities have begun taking
advantage of video conferencing technology to support learning
and education. Video conferencing equipment can help facilitate
instruction and provide distant learners with a host of
resources and access to content providers, teachers, librarians
and more.

More and more teachers are adopting video conferencing as a
method of enhanced communication and instruction. Many
California schools are using video conferencing to connect with
one another and produce networks carrying large volumes of video
and text data to educational facilities, teachers and students.
Other people that benefit from video conferencing technology
include librarians who can use video conferencing to develop
strategies, provide resources and improve the quality of their
service and delivery.

Video conferencing And Learning

Video conferencing facilitates learning by allowing remote or
distant learners to meet regardless of their location. Students
can take classes at multiple universities. In essence classes
that are not available at one location may be available at
another through video conferencing. Video conferencing can also
benefit non traditional students who are not able to attend
classes during normal hours.

Video conferencing can also be used as a career or employee
training tool. Many colleges are now collaborating with local
businesses to offer students certification and business
training. Expert subject matter delivered from individuals in
the field is easily delivered to students using this new
technology. Student can also take advantage of mentoring
services offered by companies in distant locations using video
conferencing technology. The possibilities are virtually
endless.

For those of you with Web sites, you probably know what a “host” is. It’s a company that provides a location, or address, on the Internet where your Web site resides.

In other words, just like a physical business needs an address, so does a Web site. You can’t have a Web site and just “stick it up” on the Web. Unless you want to set up your own server, you have to go through a hosting company who gives you that address, including server space and bandwidth, that enables the search engines and visitors to find your site.

Let’s look at some common problems we often have with hosting companies:

  • You can never find an actual person to talk to! They may have a 24-hour customer service line open, but you can never get through to a real person.

  • Hosting companies often think that the “lowest price” will always get the sale, but they fail to realize that what people really want is excellent customer service, servers that are up almost 100% of the time, and a variety of services that come with the hosting package.

  • Many hosting companies don’t provide any other functionality other than Web site hosting. They don’t provide a “control panel” full of goodies such as PGP secure e-mail, shopping carts, log analysis, database creation, etc.

  • Guess what? Technical support people often don’t make the best “customer support” people. They may be technical gurus, but their main interest lies in their high tech servers and other functionality, rather than solving the simple problems of their customers.

In other words, weak customer service is a major problem with the majority of hosting companies these days. Solution:

I recently had the pleasure of being introduced to Combustion Hosting Company, and to say I was impressed is a vast understatement.

Here are some things that struck me as unbelievable. When the phone rings, whoever answers the phone is required to stand up to answer it and talk. After all, the sheer act of standing up requires that they’re alert and are listening to your problems and concerns. And, you actually speak to a “real” person!

With Combustion, if you have a problem, they don’t just “tell” you how to solve it, they solve it for you! Also, their services certainly aren’t limited to “hosting.” They can set you up with an account to where you can access the Internet through local access numbers no matter where you travel.

Their prices are extremely reasonable — much better than I had been paying previously. Plus, the “extras” I’ve received by going with Combustion are amazing.

But the one thing that makes Combustion shine over most Web hosting companies is their devotion to providing good customer service, and this is an area in which they truly excel.

So, if you’re in the market for a new Web site, or if you aren’t pleased with your current host, consider Combustion Hosting. It will be one of the smartest moves you could ever make for your Web site. http://www.combustionhosting.com/moreinfo

The new X-Box 360 is coming out, and parents and gamers everywhere will be asking themselves: should I buy it now? If not, how long is a good time to wait? The answer will depend on your financial situation - but for most people, it’s probably good advice to wait for a year or so if you can.

The first few months of any new gaming system are mainly for the die-hard gamers. Getting a full X-Box 360 system with enough extras to really be able to play it could cost you in the $600 range, even if you’re only getting a few games. For most parents or gamers who don’t have a serious salary, that’s just too much to justify. Even many of the “extras” are really necessary to playing the games - without a memory card, you can’t save your game, for example, or you might want that extra controller to be able to play against friends. The real reason to wait, however, is because prices for new game systems nearly always go down dramatically within a year or so after they are introduced. The reason: a combination of competition and economies of scale. The competition factor is simple - the new Playstation will be out within the next year, and Microsoft will likely be forced to cut prices to maintain their market share. They don’t want people buying the other system, and they can stop that from happening by making a new deal later on. Economies of scale will also be a factor by then - this is the basic principle that the more of something you make, the cheaper it is to make each individual one on average. So, after they have tooled up the factories to make large runs of the X-Box 360, they’ll be able to lower the price on each individual one.

So here is the story. I crashed a dirtbike. I know its a short one, but why bore you with details that you really dont need to know? Why is it that when we get power in our hands, we attempt to use it to the fullest. It’s as if we will never have it again. Lets get out of that habit, it hurts.

Moving along with the story, I clearly needed some therapy for the injuries that I suffered in the accident. So I went to my physiotherapist and asked her what we should do. We did all the massaging and ultra sounds, and then it happened… We did the acupuncture therapy. OH what a feeling!

Its a little wierd at first, becuase they stick a bunch of needles all over your body. Apperently, every spot on our bodies is connected with some sort of feeling. Clearly, I chose the spots labelled “happy”. So I am laying there, needles all over my body, in silence, and i catch myself thinking about childhood memories of playing football with my dad! Our subconscious minds are truly amazing.

Once again though, back to my story. Now, my physiotherapist is located in the heart of downtown Calgary. For those not familiar with Calgary, it’s just a city with to much traffic. So I’m in my “happy” state after the therapy, and I’m driving home in rush hour traffic. This is how good acupuncture works - I was in a lineup 3 miles long of traffic, LETTING PEOPLE MERGE!

Feel free to reprint this article as long as you keep the article, this caption and author biography in tact with all hyperlinks.

Whether you’re a current user of Vonnage, Packet8, or Skype VoIP phone services….or are just curious about them….a good place to learn whatever you want to know is their online discussion Forums. Keep in mind that each of these is company sponsored or influenced….so you’ll have to filter through some obvious biases and emotional attachments to get at what you really want.

If your looking for advice or information on set-up, trouble shooting, special promotions, company news, plan pricing, etc…..from actual users and company types…these are good resources. If you don’t mind wading through the frequent sappy gushings of infatuated fans…you can get some very useful pearls. Occassionally you’ll even hit on some eye opening honest assessments and advice too. Just look hard until you find something that fits your need. It’s there.

Vonnage Forum

It’s no secret that I’m not fond of Vonnage. I feel they’re way over priced, have built there reputation on a massive marketing machine vice a quality product, and their customer service sucks. But this is a pretty loyal and active Forum with a few very helpful regular posters. Better to get the scoop here than listen to that annoying “Whoohoo” jingle again.

Packet8 Forum

It’s also no secret that Packet8 is my favorite broadband phone service. Particularly for any business applications. Their frequent industry awards for business packages…such as the recent top nod for their Virtual Office IP PBX offering….sold me a long time ago. Their Forum takes an extra step to get into for registration but is worth it. The Forum contents are probably more informative overall about services, applications, and the parent company [8X8 Inc.] than the other 2 forums are.

Skype Forum

I’ve never been an advocate of Sofphone services but it does have it’s place. Skype is the hands down king here…but is far from perfect. Their “free” isn’t really free for example….unless those you’re calling also have Skype. Plus their business applications leave much to be desired. But their following are rabid supporters. Plus they have probably the largest share of the VoIP “phone” market worldwide…..especially in Europe and Asia….for now. Their Forum can be more Rah Rah than informational at times but is well worth looking over.

Now if you prefer a more open and unbiased community dialogue and Forum experience….I suggest you trek over to the VoIP Forum at DSLReports.com. It can be somewhat of a free-for-all at times. But there’s a ton of useful information shared on all kinds of VoIP providers beyond just the 3 mentioned above….as well as some links to useful tools to enhance your VoIP experience.

DSLReports.com VoIP Forum

There ya go. Between these open discussion resources you should be able to find whatever you need about VoIP phones … and the specific providers cited. Just keep in mind that it’s all other people’s opinions. The bottom line is that it’s YOUR opinion that counts most.

As a golf instructor, I see the frustrations of students trying
to improve their game. Most are frustrated by the slow pace of
improvement. Most golfers that I come in contact with play an
average of once a week during the season. The golf season here
in Pittsburgh is from April to September, which is only six
months. Think about how many times you really get to play,
considering holidays, rain days, and family days. Everybody has
a different playing schedule, and I understand that working and
tending to your family takes up considerable time. The fact
remains that your improvement as a golfer is in direct
proportion to the amount of time that you put into the game.
Finding time to practice is important if you want to play better
golf.

The first thing needed on the way to improvement is to take a
lesson and learn the fundamentals of a good swing. Practicing
the wrong swing obviously causes bad habits that are difficult
to break. once you take a lesson, it is your job to practice
what you learned. Most of my students do not practice enough.
The game of golf requires a lot of time as does any sport or
hobby if you want a good outcome. If you feel you are practicing
a lot and not getting any better, it is time for a lesson. It is
likely you are practicing the wrong thing.

My advice is to practice a variety of clubs in your bag. You
should spend equal amounts of time practicing your weaknesses,
not your strengths. Always take a practice swing, concentrate on
only two or three swing thoughts. Then try to duplicate the same
swing with the ball. In other words, the ball should just get in
the way of your swing.

I believe that practicing two or three times a week for at least
one hour is necessary to see serious improvement. It is also
important to continue practicing throughout the off-season in
order to maintain what you have learned. Progress from the
previous summer will be lost for you the next season without
some practice in the winter to preserve muscle memory. (Scally’s
Golf Center is open year round and has individual heaters for
the cold weather.) In conclusion: Practice, practice, practice
will help your game become less or a struggle
